Emergency Need Grant Request
The purpose of the Emergency Need Grant Program is to provide financial assistance for immediate and extraordinary needs of foster youth that are not funded by IV-E, CSA or Medicaid.
Emergency funding is allocated up to $300 per youth, per year. Requests in excess of $300 may be considered, but will require thorough justification of grave need.
Funding is available for up to $1000 per youth aged 18-21 years old for costs specifically related to transitioning to independence.

Emergency Need Request
Tidewater Friends of Foster Care provides financial assistance for immediate and extraordinary needs of foster youth that are not funded by IV-E, CSA or Medicaid. Emergency needs must be necessities essential for the child’s welfare and are funded on a first-come, first-serve basis within TFFC’s annual Contingency budget. The request will only be considered after a comprehensive search and denial from alternate sources. Submission of this form does not guarantee approval of funding and TFFC reserves the right to deny any emergency needs requests. Emergency funding is allocated up to $300 per youth, per year.
