Tidewater Friend of Foster Care’s focus in July is our Summer Camp Sponsorship Program via our partnership with YMCA of South Hampton Roads. This summer we sponsored 44 campers to attend a total of 140 weeks at Camp Silver Beach, Camp Arrowhead and Camp Red Feather. The goal of our Sponsorships are to provide an opportunity for Foster Children to experience fun, friendship, normalcy and to have an escape just like any other child. With your generous donations, the opportunities for Foster Youth to enjoy their summer is possible.
This Summer we were able to sponsor 8 sibling groups! Bringing siblings together that may have been placed in different homes and reuniting them is so important! We have the chance to bring these youth together in a welcoming and serene environment and give them the chance to be together.
We are looking forward to August when we can share the HUGE successes of our Tutoring Program! Our Foster Youth want to succeed and we are so proud that with your donations and grants that we are able to bring consistency to the table so our Foster Youth can thrive! We also look forward to announcing some EXCITING details about scholarship
